The DEI Nike Mentorship Program

Program Overview, Why This Program?

Nike aims to be recognized as a leader in advancing diverse and inclusive teams and a culture where belonging is their home court advantage. In parallel, Nike is committed to the development of underrepresented groups, specific to race and ethnicity, with a sharp focus on women of color talent. The Mentorships Program was designed to accomplish these two goals.

What Are The Goals For The Program?

  • Creating safe spaces.

  • Building trust in leadership.

  • Strengthening the team-player mentality.

  • Growing cross-cultural awareness.

  • Accessing more career opportunities.

What Does The Program Journey Look Like?

  • Upfront investment in selecting mentors and mentees.

  • Training to support a common understanding of key terms and concepts.

  • Continuous learning and connection in support of meaningful relationships.

Program Update?

  • To date the program has seen an overwhelming response with 250+ Mentee and 50+ Mentor applications received.

  • 50 Mentee and Mentor pairings have been completed.

  • Application for Mentees have now been closed but Mentors are still welcome to apply.

  • Program kick-off date is June 2023.
